computer slowing down....

hi all

i know we all have this problem. over time our computers slow down, seems like the hdd is always being accessed etc.

now, to combat it, i do the following:

1) check hijack this, to see what is running, remove any (disable services)

2) use a tuneup utility e.g. ace utilities, or tuneup utilities to remove junk files, and clean up the registry

3) degrag my hard disk drives using oo defrag

is there anything else that you find helpful short of formatting?

ive already done all those things, still slow.

im thinking of reformatting, or getting me a raptor.

I`m reinstalling tonite, pc is running just fine, but acts antisocial at moments. There are no issues malwarewize, just sometimes u get a feeling something aint right.

sometimes i wonder is it because my windows is messed up or is it because i have overclocked everything and its not stable.
