When u fry a mobo it has the potential to damage other parts as I well know, its a shitty chain of events...

My first board fuckup fried my 6800 GT and possibly my CPU... Once my new board comes in I'll continue the fight to figure out whats still fucked up, I have my new vid card so I'm hoping its still ok, my ram SHOULD be good, and then I'm thinkin my cpu is toast.

Yeah I'd thought I'd lost my graphics card and a couple of system components on the last one that went. I think it definitely took some of its integrated PCI components with it, the LAN light wasn't showing on the switch any more... a couple of days before it died my Audigy 2 seemed to pack in, sounded like it's DACs were destroyed or something to that effect. Oddly enough it's in on of my fallback PC's now and works like a charm ;)

Good! At least the Audigy didn't go by the wayside. Depending on which one it is those suckers are pretty expensive.

Audigy 2 Platinum w/front drive... I was distraught until it miraculously recovered... You know I think it must have sense the pending doom and dropped out deliberately so I'd remove it, heheh. Smart card...

Very! That was some good luck :)

I've got an audigy 2 plat that had the front drive...but I removed the front drive as it does not fit the color scheme of the case.

Worked great til my water leak :( I think either the SC itself is fried, or just the slot (I'm hoping its the slot)

Same goes for me (I don't have a watercooled system but hey, never hurts)

Well if you ever do watercool, you can pray to the watercooling God's that you don't get a leak :)

Who are the watercooling Gods anyway? I'd wonder what to call them... neptune or something...

"Oh mighty neptunething, preserve mine RAMs and process0rx by keeping your shit away from them and in the pipes."
