Heya guys,

Some of you may have already read that I'm planning on a new build: The Black Beast. Otherwise known as Project Grayscale. Now, I originally wanted to go for an all black build. Black RAM, black fans, black case, black mainboard, everything black! I still think it would look awesome!

But, then again I do also really like some contrast! I like to be original so no red or blue colour scheme! I was thinking Black & White, Black & Green or just the Black. Of course, I could also go Black, White & Green as I think it would be an interesting combination and everything on my desk is either black, white or green as well :)

Black:
- Matte Black Switch 810
- Gigabyte X79-UP4
- Patriot Viper 4x4GB 2133MHz
- Black Bitfenix Spectres all around
- GTX 670 FTWs with the logo made black
- Swiftech H220 with the fans replaced to black ones

Black & White:
- Matte black Switch 810 (Black)
- Gigabyte X79-UP4 (Black)
- Patriot Viper 4x4GB 2133MHz (Black)
- White fans
- GTX 670 FTWs (Green logo's made white)
- Swiftech H220 (Will make a white logo and put that on the CPU block)

Black & Green:
- Matte black Switch 810
- Gigabyte X79-UP4
- Patriot Viper 4x4GB 2133MHz
- 2x Green Bitfenix Spectre LED fans in the front (140mm, 800 RPM)
- Black fans inside (Maybe a green spectre in the back)
- GTX 670 FTWs (Keeping the green logo)
- Swiftech H220 (Will make a green logo and put that on the CPU block)

Black, White & Green:
- Matte black Switch 810
- Gigabyte X79-UP4
- Patriot Viper 4x4GB
- Green Spectre LED fans in the front and back.
- White fans inside and on the H220)
- GTX 670 FTWs with the standard logo
- Swiftech H220 with a green or white logo on the CPU block

Edit;
White Lotus:
- Switch 810 White
- Gigabyte X79-UP4
- Patriot Viper RAM is black with white logo's
- White fans with black frames all around
- GTX 670 FTWs SLI with the logo kept green, but maybe a white (stripe or something on the) backplate?

Black and Green from the choices you've listed. All black with hints of grey would also be a good look as well (imo).

I always thought black and red went well together and looked sharp and I dont see a lot of those out there. But out of your options, I voted for black and white. That would stand out pretty good.
 
If your set on the name black beast , go all black with some white led's.
The black and green might look good too , mostly black with a touch of green.

Look this for Black RIG...
But you can paint top of heatsink or something other...

Example slot 2-4 green top, or white top, other stay black... or you choose.
I'm CORSAIR Fan but Ridgeback Mushkin is best looking RAM ever made, special RED.

Thanks! But I can't find these for a decent price anywhere where I live :(

I was looking at this Eyes Set to Kill album art for their album White Lotus

I quite like the colour combination so right now I'm leaning towards a black and white with just slight accents of green. Still want some more votes in that poll though! If you have tips, fear not to post! :)

White Lotus build would probably be something like this:
- Switch 810 Matte black / White (?)
- Gigabyte X79-UP4
- Patriot Viper RAM is black with white logo's so I guess that'll work?
- White fans with black frames all around
- GTX 670 FTWs SLI with the logo kept green, but maybe a white (stripe or something on the) backplate?
- Swiftech H220
 
Same is with me I can't find nothing good in Serbia...
Dead IT market... People can't find nothing good except CPU and motherboards.
From Mushkin for me I search for 997105 kit and Dominator Platinum CMD8GX3M2A1866C9.

Okay, quick update guys!

Both Black & White and Black and Green are getting the the most votes so I'm thinking about combining the two. Also, because my mother still owes me €1500,- that I'll probably never see back again, I had to cut back a bit.

The plan at this moment is;
- Fractal Design Define Arc Midi (Keeping the white fans and accents)
- i7 3770k
- MSI Z77 MPower (Yellow accents painted green)
- Patriot Viper 2x8 GB 2133MHz
- Asus Xonar D2x
- 2x GTX 670 FTW with the green logo's
- AX750 with white braided cables (might paint the fan grill white as well)
- Swiftech H220, keeping the white fans on it.

What do you guys think? :)

I'm also open to suggestions about better RAM. 2133MHz and preferably CL 9 or 10. 2x8GB for under €150,- or 1x8 GB for under €75,-
 
rig looks good.. but get ethier the R4 with a wondow or wait till the new arc midi comes out(i'm pretty sure they come out soon because they are not in stock in many places anymore)
 
Yeah, the R4 doesn't fit a radiator properly and I'm afraid that the front intake won't be sufficient for an SLI set-up with that door.
I'm waiting for the Arc Midi R2 (With new HDD cages and a window :))
