Coldbugged Processors

I own a Mach II, and am looking to upgraded from my Prescott but I don't really have a clue as to which CPUs have the dreaded cold bug.

From what I understand the following are bugged:

FX60

Operton

X2

However, what about Intel processors? Does anyone know which ones are/arent safe to put under phase?

Also, would you reccomend a Pentium D or staying single core if I chose to stay on the Intel side of things?

There is not an Intel CPU around that is cold bugged right now.

Most X2's are not cold-bugged - FX60, we should see un-bugged units in 6-8 weeks.

Whichever way you go - dual core is the future

So far i have not found any 775 processors that are seriously coldbugged, although my 940 does have a minor issue, booting below a certain temp, but its fine once in windows. The dual core 940 has outperformed any single core in all 3d benchies, even at significantly lower clockspeeds and it also runs way hotter once the vcore is raised.I have to point out though that your prom will hate running on either the asus p5wd2-p or p5wd2-e-p,due to the restart issue, which when you restart the mobo shuts down for 3 secs then fires back up,proms hate it.

I didn't know that about the Asus boards thanks for the warning mate. I was seriously thinking about buying one as well. What mobo would you recommend then?

Are the rest of the P-Ds as good (relatively) as the 940? Or is that one a one-off?

My 920 is doing the same thing, but I guess it could well be the Asus P5WD2-E motherboard causing some issues as well.

Also 920's clock really well, I've got some benches in my sig. 4.8 Ghz stable from a 2.8 Ghz cpu. Pretty nice I think. ;)
