cloverfield

That looks pretty awesome actually! Seems a bit 'war of the worlds' ish, just hope it isn't a 3 legged walker!

Holy thread revival!!!

Went to see this tonight and OMG, its freakin awesome but has a weird ending.

Anyone else seen it?

Yeah I was thinking of making a thread on it not knowing about this one.. I went to see it last night. Its good for what it is and the style but the ending is a little off for me. Not giving any of the details away to anyone who has seen it but not finding out where the hell it came from or even what it is kinda sucks. I did really enjoy it though so not slating it or anything.

this film was truly bad

5minutes of good film in it maximum, nothing to redeam the rest. download at best imho.

hopefully theres some better films in '08

Agree with K3Y.

So many annoying things about it and some pretty poor acting in places.

Think all the best bits are in the trailers for it ? Just looking at the trailers - it does look awesome, and an awesome idea.

Probably win some awards for it this year.

No country for old men is a good film,

Cloverfield was poor compared to all the hype, just like blair witch!

H8 to say it, but although No Country for Old Men was good enough to watch with a bit of interest - there`s absolutely no-way, outside of a "lovies" situation, that it was worthy of the praise it got.

EDIT: lmao I thought blair witch was pretty awful, riding on the back of publicity.

No country for old men wasn't that good. Javier Bardem played the sociopath down to a T but other than that... Average.

Cloverfield was fun, intense direction due to the first person aspect of the film; you don't see anything the actors don't see. The lack of explination about the monster adds credibility in my book. Come on, it's a monster flick for Eff's sake. What did you expect?

For a film in it's genre it is one of the best imo. Of course, it is all relative, Godzilla is in this genre...
