Cloning windows 7

Upgrading my SSD in a few days and wanting to clone Windows to the new SSD.

What is the best program to do this?

Also I've heard It's better just to install a fresh copy of windows rather than cloning.

Most SSD's include Acronis , I cloned my RAID 0 array to my Intel SSD using it without a problem. If your Windows install is old, as in it has alot of installs and uninstalls with unused apps, It wouldn't hurt to reinstall freash.

Cloning is fast and your computer will be just as it was before, a freash install might free up some valuable SSD space by getting rid of unused stuff cluttering up your system, and fix Registry errors windows might have from several updates, It's really up to you.

i just got a ssd and i did a clean install of the win7. i had to redownload alot of programs but it was good opportunity to weed all rubbish i had, stuff i hadnt used for ages and have a more streamlined setup

i do use windows back up but i havent need to call on it, i didnt partition my hard drive when i did my build, my os and files wer all on the one drive
