Clone program

Hey all. I wanna clone my lap top OS and other software to a new hdd. Any recomendations on what free clone program to use ?

Its cloning the partition now. The software is easy to understand, so thanks for the advice.

It only took 10min to clone and im gonna try and see if there is any issues with booting from that device now.

Looks like a great little tool to have. EaseUs Todo Backup is another good little program as well.

Over the years I've tried most including Acronis, Ghost, Easus ToDo, DriveImageXML, Clonezilla and even Win 7 built in backup. Macrium is IMHO the best of the bunch. I like it so much I even paid for the Pro version.

When you install windows it uses 100mb + the partition for the OS. When you clone the OS partition, does those 100mb get cloned aswell? the 100mb file/partition doesnt show up in the clone prgramm

i always use win7 backup. restore tested. many successful, some not so much (driver issues). i don't know anything faster than the built-in backup function....

I recommed Acronis True Image Home 2011 (easy to use)

It's better than Norton Ghost..
