CL5 1066 Question

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get my RAM once again to run a bit faster now I'm getting a bit better at OCing and understanding the system.

My RAM is rated at 5-5-5-15 (I understand this means CL5?) 1066.

I am running 4x 1GB sticks dual channel.

I have upped the voltage to 2.2V.

Tonight I done a memtest and it passed fine at 816 DDR (2.2v) FSB 272. 5-5-5-15.

Hopefully tomorrow it will run fine when I set the Ratio to 1:2.00 and DDR to 533 (1066).

Am I doing it right? :p And is there anything else I should change? Last time I tried this my system ended up not booting into windows and other problems, but I can't remember 100% what I did, so I'm hoping this time I have more luck.

Thanks very much for helping a beginner like me!

No problems, I got it to run 1064 (Closest) just fine! Memtested with no errors.

I must have either done something wrong last time or the latest MB BIOS fixed it all.

well, if its rated at 5-5-5-15, then it should run with those timings at 1066 no problems, if not faster. there shouldnt be any need to up the voltage either. maybe if you try setting it to auto in the bios, it wil go to that automatically?
