It's the second time this game is free on the Epic Games Store! Honestly, coming from someone that has ove deep into the rabbit hole, it's not worth it. The base game is like 1/100th of the full game, you need to buy another 50 DLCs to have the "full experience", That's between quotation marks because this "full experience" is still like 1/50th of the game.

You'll need steam workshop to achieve the 100% of the game with mods. As many things will just seem strange, worng or out of place requiring a mod to be right. Now assuming the Epic Games store installation is the same as a steam or standalone installation, you can use websites to download mods from the steam workshop and paste it into the game's directory, but I'm not sure the Epic launcher will like this.

In the end, games like Cities Skylines, Humankind or anno 1800 are similar to mobile gacha games, you get a base game that's clearly lacking many features and then you need to pay over a full game price to get all the DLCs down the line. Even if the game is free you're still paying a lot just for the DLCs. And I'd say Cities Skylines the one with the least amount of content in the base game. Also the one with the most amount of DLCs, that will add 3 new types of fish, or a new radio, etc.

It's a decent game, but like anything free you need to pay to get the good stuff.

Think thats why Automobilista 2 i got so cheap as you need to spend to get the DLC i'll wait for sale on that, thou did get mass effect legend super cheap last night as well

Many games release in this manner. See prime example Total War Warhammer series or any of the Crusader King titles and that whole family of grand strategy games.

Well considering it's free, not much to require from it, is there?... And I haven't paid for it, then I'll most likely enjoy what I can, even if it sucks not being a fully completed game.
