Choices, choices, choices...

Hey all!

First, thanks for taking the time for reading this thread.

And now the 'dilemma' (?): At my favorite online hardware store, I have the following choice:

- MSI N280GTX-T2D1G-OC (GeForce 260GTX, 1GB, Overclocked) @ €399,50

- MSI N9800GX2-M2D1G (GeForce 9800GX2, 1GB) @ €384.-

Which card shall I choose? Price is, as you can see, not really a matter, as is power consumption....

I had the same choice last night funnily enough. In the end I bought the 280, but before you make your decision here's some things to think about:

- The 9800GX2 is faster in avg/max FPS, but generally can't beat the GTX280 in min FPS.

- Some people will tell you about the microstuttering issue on the GX2. Never researched it myself so cant comment.

- The 9800GX2 may be cheaper, but just like the 7900GX2, they'll probably forget about it in a few months and the drivers will start to suck.

Ok, thank you very much, I've read some other reviews and benchmarks (and your opinion of course), and I think I'll go with the GTX280.

Also bear in my the gx2's speed all depends on how well sli performs, if the game doesnt work well with sli your frame rate will tumble
