Charity Bungee Jump

Hello people,

I'll be going on holiday in November, I'll be preparing my adult sized nappy and taking the plunge of the Ben Nevis bungee jump (Queenstown, New Zealand), the highest in Australasia at 134 meters and 8.5 seconds of freefalling. I'll be scaring the crap out of myself for the charity, Rainbows Children's Hospice.

I've just started to collect sponsors from everyone I know and all the schools I visit at work. It would be brilliant if the people on here would give something. Its a great local charity and they do brilliant work!!

If you could pledge your sponsor in this thread and then once I've done the jump donate it directly to their site. (I understand this is the internet and there isn't that much trust, so this is the safest way for everyone). I'll even post a video up on here of me doing it!! (I'll promise to bleep the naughty words out!)

Its too late at night for me to co-herently read into the details on this, but I'll bump it and gen up on it 2morrow in work.

If the payment thing is easy enough, I'll spiff u something no doubt.

i suppose i should let on that i only plucked up the courage to go on the rides at alton towers this year. I'm 23!!! lol.
 
Sooo i got another check this week instead of direct deposit into my card *sigh* stupid job. Ill have to wait some more.
 
Personally, I think you are crazy!! :D I once went on one of those bungee slingshot thingies where you sit in a cage and get launched then bounce up and down. That had me screaming like a biaatch, so kudos to you for your plans:worship:

I will sponsor you too mate, it will be worth it just to see the vid:D

I've been on a couple of those things too... Great fun.

One in Ibiza (twice) and one in Lorrett De Mar (once).
 
Did they have a video camera fixed to the cage when you done it? We went on one in Portugal, and it gave everyone a laugh after cos they play the vid when you get off. I used every single swear word in existence and was kicking off at my mate for laughing at me, that's all he done throughout the ride:D

Hey nat,

I`ve had a look at the donation methods on that site and their fairly anonymous in terms of "I`m doing the jump" - as a page for urself. (unless I missed something >.<

I sponsered some1 through a similar method b4 and their name was alongside the thermometer thing, with what they were doing as an event etc.

Have u done a link like this that I`ve missed ? Or are u saying to donate to the society as a whole and just say on here that u`ve donated ?

Yeah they did but nobody was around for the Ibiza ones. My mate proper went off too.. Mainly just shouting a certain F word over and over again. I was cracking up at him while quietly cacking myself.

I have no page etc. The plan was for people to reply in here with how much there going to donate, then when the time comes donate it straight to the rainbows site.

I want to raise £1000 is possible, currently at £260. So if people could reply in here with what they will donate i can add it to the total.

My aim is to raise £1000

I've got a question for everyone;

If I'm 15 years old, but own a bank account, can I link that bank account to a paypal because I have things I'd like to buy and sell over the internet. If I manage to get it set up, ill chuck some money in the pot :)
