That looks good to me. Not too sure on the mobo.....

The power supply, what is it?

As you will need a decent one for the 9800 me thinks.

But your certainly looking at a good upgrade.

Thinking about overclocking? A free preformace upgrade.

This will be the first (almost) complete upgrade I've ever done so I'm not sure on any of the parts, hence coming to the experts. The power supply is a 'Tri Cooler 600W' that's all the box says.

But it is currently in the system running the 9800GT fine...I think, anyway to test that?

And I have done a little overclocking with the current system (mainly my older GPU and the RAM). So this build will be running higher than standard.

Ive seen the E8400 running some huge numbers along with that RAM. I'll only run it a little higher than normal to start with.

hmm , non branded PSU, that could be a weak point

How much could it hold me back, all I'm after is a mild gaming system atm, if/when I start getting into bigger things I would get a better PSU

PSU is the most important part of the system keep that in mind. for $60 u can have a very decent one ready for triple or crossfire set-up and even if you just need one card to power up, a decent psu will offer better protection and deliver steady power... Also dont forget surge protector...
