U get these demands during a pit in a recesion.

They take the gamble that once the recesion is over, the price of gold goes back up, and they make their cash.

And they simply rip people by buying precious jewellery for the price of just the gold it contains.

Think I saw an ad for this in the bus back in B'ham. Hated it as soon as I saw it.

If it ain't bad enough with the dam adverts,had some bloke knock on me door last night and handed me a leaflet then started on about having a cash for gold party :/

"get some friends to come round and bring there gold and exchange for cash"

He just managed to get that out before i slammed the door in his face.

Funny i'm watching a TV ad now and its infuriating me!!!!!!

But from what i am aware gold is VERY high in the current market

Been looking on the bullion markets website and theres been a drop this month, although market still looks bouyant.

Its weird because I was actually looking (out of interest) at gold bars on ebay a short while before the boom. Makes me wish I'd invested now
