:( Cant even get to BIOS

Was looking through my bios just sorting out stuff like which boot device to choose and what priority to have them in when I found the overclock function and thought I would overclock my CPU (its been running very cool). It's a Q8200 and was at stock speed (2.33Ghz) I set it up to 2.5ghz and saved the settings and resarted the computer. But now it wont even get to the POST(?) so i cant get to bios anymore to change it back. Ive just removed everything and put it all back together so I'm gonna see if that works. Any advice on this? Has it happened to anyone else?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

A really good bios clear is almost always required, or a good idea atleast, when changing a cpu.

Other than that, the bios doesn't recognize the 8200 microcode and may need flashing b4 u can try it.

Reset your bios by either the jumpers or taking out the cmos battery, leave it out for 5 -15min and fire her back up :)

Cheers guys! Worked! Had a bit of a scare though, I went straight into bios to change the hard-drive boot list around as both my hard-drives have an OS on them. Did this and it didnt work, thought i was gonna have to buy and new CPU. Luckily im not one to give up so went back into BIOS again to check the boot list. Sure enough it was the wrong way round! Thanks for the advice!
