Cant decide

Asus is better overall with more contrast and pixel pitch but it has a resolution of 1680x1050, while the BenQ has an average contrast and a lower pixel pitch but goes to a res of 1980x1080.

I would go with the Asus but if you want a larger resolution, then go for the BenQ.

As reviews for both units are rather thin on the ground, it's difficult to say which is better from a quality perspective. But if you're asking resolution wise, although the BenQ will require a GPU with a lot of grunt to run natively at 1080p and 16:9, I think long term this is the resolution and aspect ratio that the industry is gravitating towards.

Im planning on getting i7 920, 6gb ddr3 , and a gtx 275 so should run 1080p fine

Will the resolution effect gaming much?

I would go for a 24" screen then with 1920x1200 res.

IF your budget is thin then go for the BenQ but if you got a bit of cash lying around the 24" is the serious way to go i bought a 22" and regret it now...
