can not get 6950 to use its driver

Game Over

Ok, so got the new rig put together and fired up. tried playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R call of pripyat a little with max settings, card was doing fine but was a bit hot about 75c, Is that too hot or ok?

anyway, thought I would go to AMD to check out the latest drivers just for the hell of it to make sure I am up to date. I went ahead and did a download for the latest driver catalyst suite.

was going into the install process then the PC suddenly shut down and restarted.

I restarted the install and it seemed to go fine, Got a message my driver is up to date then I got a popup saying No driver installed or its not functioning, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and get same thing, even did an older driver and still no luck, I check in device manager and it says my driver is up do date, but then is says the card can not run the driver.

Here are 2 of the messages I get below.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Uninstall ALL amd drivers and download again. Should do the trick.

Edit; 75c looks okay, but you could use msi afterburner to control fan.

Thanks will give both a shot

UPDATE, Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times with no luck, but found the video tutorials on AMD's site and it seems you just have to do it in just the correct order, have something installed, download new, delete old, install new.

I was deleting old, then downloading then installing,

or uninstall, install, uninstall, install.

But ya got it working again, thanks.

Also got the MSI fan control you mentioned and that works like a charm.

Thanks.
