Call of Duty's getting a kernel-level anti-cheat system to combat cheaters

All we need now is one for PUBG LOL.

Can't tell you how many reports I have sent which have resulted in bans.

Good thing I won't play it. I ain't giving them access to the kernel. If it was MS certified then sure. But trusting Activision is an oxymoron in itself.

I'm very curious about the false positives. Can't wait to get banned a second time for no reason...

Maybe this will be a good reason to reinstall MW, dunno.

Cant be worse than the major flaw in New World where you can get your rivals banned before a war by just mass reporting the companies best players.

That entire game is a major flaw by the looks of it, seriously this is a thing?

At any rate, in the end this anti cheat will be bypassed but in the meantime Activision has kernel level access to every ignorant or not caring player, inviting people that make malware/virusses to be made to exploit this anti cheat, gg activision.

I'm afraid that I got banned by mass reports as well back in the days when CoD was on Steam. I miss those times. Just report anyone who's better than you, because MW2 was riddled with cheaters, then rack up thousands of reports by the time BO3 is alive and get banned because someone at Treyarch must think that so many reports simply can't be wrong *insert clown meme here*

The best part is that they keep saying that any ban is final and will neither be lifted nor negotiated. Then again, they already lifted bans from a Battlefield dev...
