Instead of being naive and blaming consoles, you should know the intention was to always have an unlimited frame rate. They limited for testing purposes. Consoles have 0 to do with this. If the intention was to not have an unlimited frame rate, it would take significantly more work to make it unlimited. It's not just a function value that says limit FPS to 60.

You should rather be grateful, that Treyarch quickly climbed their way up to the top of devs for me, because they are communicating such decisions and changes to the community in a very detailed and effective way.



Unlocked framerate is nice, but the netcode needs to be addressed some more... It feels like everyone is cheating in this game and that comes from Rank 23 in HC FFA in BO3... I'm only playing hardcore game modes since CoD4 and usually I'm the one who makes people cry like babies, but BO4 is strange and I refuse to believe that everyone has gotten better than me although I played WWII very much as well AND successfully... In BO4 it just seems as though everyone is running around ADSing all the time...

So there might be something going on with lag compensation.

unlocked frames does not work well with every engine.

AC III, Skyrim etc etc turn into the ultimate pinball mode game with objects bouncing everywhere. I get 150fps of unplayable mayhem

Oh yes, that's a great idea. Kill the consoles and leave gamers with one option: buy a horrendously over-priced PC with over-priced bug-riddled games filled with micro-transactions. Consoles are a bad idea? Giving gamers the ability to game without spending retarded money on a PC? Considering you can buy a console with extra controllers, a TV, and lord knows how many games for the same price as ONE top end video card, console death would be the WORST thing that could happening to the gaming industry.

Not necessarily. Consoles bring a more affordable medium for gamers. The only reason the Witcher 3 was as ambitious as it was was simply due to the fact they also released it on console. That's from the main man himself.
Having a broader TAM(total addressable market) allows for more games to be made. Removing the biggest medium in gaming, consoles, would remove probably 60-70% of the current market. That would obviously do more harm than good
