Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Console Resolutions announced

Picked it up earlier today. Installing it as we speak. Hopefully it's not another 10 gig download after the install.
Kevin Spacey sure look sexy, wonder if my single GTX 770 will be able to run everyting maxed out with decent fps. Time will tell.

The first CoD game I've ever bought. Looking forward to gaming it, those exo suits look smashing. And what's up with £27? I paid 60€ for it. Have I been scammed?

The exo suit does look good to use, at least in the trailers, like were the guy is chasing him and the guy in front jumps backwards behind him and gets the kill. Its £26 on CD Keys.

Take it you bought it from Steam?

Yeah I saw the trailer yesterday, reminded me a bit of unreal tournament, fast paced face smashing. Yeah I dunno what CD keys is :). Bought it retail from the store. A whopping 6 DVD's to install. 2 hours in now xD

Like the days when a game was on like 10 floppy disks. Those were the days :D.

So after the 6 DVD install it's still another 2,3 GB download. That's another 3 hours to wait. Gah. Why cant you just play the damn game after you've installed it. Or do game manufacturers believe that there aren't people out there with 2/512 connections?

EDIT: It's the multiplayer that has got 2,2 GB to download. Single player is just 10 minutes away. whopee!
EDIT2: Failed to start single player, must download multiplayer :(

I remember games on cassette tapes

2gig only takes a few minutes on steam/origin uplay is an all nighter

At least you won't have to download 50GB like me lol. Shouldn't take too long though, my Steam tends to stick at 4.5 on download.

Not going to lie, kind of tempted to get it. I had all CoD games from 1 + United Offensive to MW3? Or BO II? Whichever came latest on PC and x360. Hadn't enjoyed MW2 and 3 though, and BO II only a little so I just stopped buying them.

Hmeh, still saving up for a guitar, but maybe later in the year :p

Get it Rick, that can be our new game! Get the guitar later.

Casette tapes were before my time lol :D. Remember those old school floppy disks tho. They were ace!

Haha yeah 50 gig download would take 23 days for me :DD. mmm that 200kbps <3

A real CoD veteran I see, guitars are good too, they come in handy if your firewood runs out and it's really cold. :P

Ugh he looks sexy lol. I'm so tempted to buy it today, but still don't know which platform! Would me rig run it maxed out, or nearly maxed out?

Yeah, provided you do not supersample it to insane degrees.

I think this game might be worth buying. If only I had time for another game it isn't COD.

Idk dude. It's still a fair bit of money to me and I'm not sure if I like the whole futuristic thing yet. All the little tools are probably just going to annoy me cause other people will be using them well and I don't know how to

Not going to lie, the new ones have nothing to do with traditional CoD anymore. Aaaah I miss the United Offensive and CoD 2 days :p

Aye, remember gaming CoD 2 with my mates alot on LAN's. The M1 Garand was da shiznit. That was just major fun, IMHO one of the best FPS games of that era.

But games evolve, as do people. From the trailer I noticed it's completely different. we should embrace change! Perhaps this game will be what CoD 2 was 8 years ago.

As a sidenote, not only do I have to live with incredibly slow internet connection. We also suffer from electrical blackouts all across the west coast of Finland. We had some pretty hardcore blizzard going on here a couple of days ago. Rain, sleet, snow then -10°C. Some people out in the rural villages have had up to 40 hours without electricity. The pain!

No. I will not embrace change for the sake of having something new when it replaces something which was perfectly fine with something way worse.

Ok, I guess that's up to preference. I'm not out to offend anyone, sorry if I did. The way I see it, all these latest CoD games have just been clones, clones upon clones. So AW is bringing something new to the table with the exo suits and whatnot. That's why I choose to embrace the change in it.

But I do agree with you. If it ain't broke etc.

No offence taken at all. I also agree that most CoDs have been clones and most of them weren't all that interesting (MOBAs were fun in MW3), but the booster things aren't exactly a new thing either and they are poorly implemented. One of the things CoD always did great was movement, can't say that about AW.
