Call of Duty 5

Hey all,

Just installed the game.

I am getting a lot of issues with the graphics.

In the second level where you come ashore all the layers are broken / ontop of one another.

Running sli GTX 280

Everything is maxed on the settings.

I know it's a brand new game etc so bugs are to be expected but can anyone think of anything to change to improve this?

Play.com, always get it a day early.

Latest drivers.

I have no issues with any other games.

Maybe there will be a patch released asap.

I did not get the beta to test, so i cant be sure if it's the game as a whole or just something i should turn down.

Spot the slight / complete copy of a scene from Enemy at the Gates...

lol

Its not the best of games but it's keeping me amused.

Running on max settings, including DX10. You sure the drivers are fully up to date? tried any of the beta ones?

i'll try out some new drivers tonight and see what we end up with

if it doesn't work with the new drivers, maybe it doesn't like SLI?

disable the dual video cards option in the game

driver hunting as we speak.

I had though that it would not be sli happy but i presumed then it would just not scale well with two cards.

Does that sound like a reasonable conclusion or would it infact cause visible issues?

Oh for pete's sake.

Just upped the drivers, rebooted....

Goes through post........windows vista loading bar........

Then black screen.

Pc is running fine, i hear all the windows loading sounds and the keyboard is light etc. Just lack of picture.

Anyone know how to get my picture back!!

Did you uninstall the previous drivers before installing the new ones?

When starting your computer, hit and hold F8 to bring up the menu that will let you boot in to safe mode which will start windows with its default video drivers, and not the ones causing you problems.

Then uninstall the duff new ones and either try them again or find others or go back to your previous version.
