Call of Duty 4 or Crysis ??

thats what i was thinking of getting :) but as crysis is newer and seems to have better graphics (although dont get me wrong CoD 4 has immense graphics to say the least) so thats what leveled it out .. im guessing CoD 4 will keep me more occupied for longer and has better overall game play :)
 
Crysis is just to resourceful for todays hardware imo.

Maybe in a few months time once new hardware has been released the game will become more enjoyable but at the minute it just isnt.
 
I would say Crysis for single player and CoD4 for Multiplayer.

I did enjoy CoD4.. but the GFX really are not as good as I thought they would be.

Ermm, Crysis Rocks. :D

But it is down to what ever floats your boat matey!
 
Also looking at your system specs Crysis wouldnt look very nice on it anyway.

COD 4 all the way!
 
Call of duty will look much better than crysis given the spec you've got, so thats where my money would go. You may be able to run crysis in medium/low whereas call of duty will run pretty decently. And, importantly call of duty is ace :)
 
CoD 4 it is then :p Crysis can wait after crimbo when i have 2GB DDR2 RAM and have overclocked my 8600GT :) .. cheers for the tips :D
 
Try the crysis demo for an idea of how it'll run. COD is purely fun really, you get a great feel for the story and character quickly. It has some great, genuine heart in the mouth moments :)

-- Kickass Multiplayer (better than standalone Multis Like the BF Series)

--You can Get the best Graphs from this game on todays HW ...(save Crysis for a nu GCard; as u prob arent gona replay it when u upgrade)

It's got to be CoD4 and with OC3D hosting a couple of servers there are some damn good games to be played, add I.P's 212.69.36.85 & 212.69.36.86 to you favourites to kick ass.

CoD4 = awesome fun, superb graphics BUT sp is sooo short, MP = mass fun.

Crysis = will rape your machine in every available way. Game was a grower for me, I'm giving it a second chance and really enjoying it! My rig makes it only just playable at 1280x1024, x2 AA with the dx10 tweak applied in XP...

I think the 8600 will struggle to play either game well in dx9 though.
 
ive gone with CoD 4 :p

wont be on the servers until crimbo :( .. apartently its my chritsmas prezzy (the PC) and il be allowed to have it on crimbo day :eek: i need it now :(
 
my mate at school helped me with my final desition :p

even though he hasnt played crysis and has CoD4 on PS3 he said the gameplay is amazing and online gaming is a thrill

i thought MOHAA online was good; heard the CoD4 was even better so i went out and got it :D even though i dont have my computer yet :( arrives sunday hopefully:yumyum:
 
Crysis is mutch prettier a 8800GT will play it fine with a 2.6ghz+ core2duo.

Atm with Q6600 3ghz and 8800gt 670/1950/1700 I play it on high with 4x SSAA at 22 - 33FPS, which is more then enough since the crysis gameplay is slow and doesnt require high FPS, unlike games like UT3.
