Anyone know any real simple to use CAD software? I'm talking like the MS paint of CAD. Needs to handle DWG files.

Cheers

Phew... Difficult question :/

Site looks like crap, but looks like there's some good free apps: http://freeware.intrastar.net/cadsoftware.htm

Apart from that... I believe google sketchup was able to handle DWG but I do not know if it will be able to exchange with AutoCAD. Or at least I assume that's the reason why you want *.dwg compatibility.

Yeah, it's cheaper... €1500 instead of €4000 or so :/ So not really an option I guess :P

EDIT: I just tried; sketchup cannot open .dwg files. Must've been sketchup pro

lmao, quite a few pennies >.<

Wonder if there's an "older version" u can either buy silly cheap or download free from them. PSP used to do a similar thing.

Autodesk and "free"? They'll need to look that up in their dictionary.

You could get a free version of any AutoCAD '09 if you are a studying anything that involves autoCAD on a recognized university and you have access to a school email address of that uni. I guess you do not have that though :(
