Thanks Kemp. I have slowly been working on it. With 5 HDs and everything else in there it is kind of hard. I am also running both of my 3550a's on different IDE channels so there are 2 cables there also.

I see you use noise dampening stuff in your case there dave. Does it work? I so how well?

It would be wrong to say that it blocks noise, it doesnt seem to reduce the overall volume, however it does reduce vibrations caused by the case fans, (you sandwich the material between the case fan & the case) and lowers the tone of any higher pitched sounds (ie graphics card coolers for one). I also don't seem to notice hard disk seeks as much with it attached.

It doesn't seem to increase case temperatures, just be careful on the positioning of it near hard disks if you havent got them fan cooled, it may increase the temperatures in that way.

If I were to do it again I'd either take the case apart and put to layers in, or get some thicker stuff, just for added noise reduction
