Buying new LQ system.

Hello and happy new year !

Long story-short i have a budget of 250£ and was wondering if you have any good ideas for my new LQ system.

I've done some research and found that there are not many who make full cover for ASUS GTX 580 DirectCU II... i found EK does, but are there any other blocks which are better?

My question to you would be: Please help me decide what to buy. (Reason: i have to go to Africa for 2 weeks, and was hoping that by the time i am back i would look in this post and just order ;-) )

My specs:

Asus Sabertooth P67

CPU: 2600K

RAM: 8Gb Corsair

GPU: ASUS GTX 580 DirectCU II

PSU: Corsair 750W

CASE: CM HAF932

I would very much like to cover CPU+GPU(at least) and what is most importent to me is SILENCE. so this is what i was thinking... :

Pump: Liang DDC 10w or EK - DCP 4.0

GPU: EK - FC580 DCII

CPU: there are so many options that my head spins... What do you think?

RAD: EK - CoolStream RAD XT (360) ? but again there are too many options... ? WHAT DO ?

Fittings... ? have no clue! help!

Looks like a good build, the watercooling parts you have chose are all good. The best CPU block at the moment is the XSPC Raystorm other than that either the EK-Supreme HighFlow or XSPC Rasa are good choices.

I haven't read anything about the RAD you chose so I don't know how good it is compared to others but the new Alphacool NexXxos Full Copper rads that TTL did a quick vid of on the youtube channel yesterday look good. The XSPC RX rads or HardwareLabs SR1 rads are some other good rads as well.

For fittings you have two options, compression fittings and barbs. Compression fittings screw down and clamp onto the tubing and barbs you just slide the tubing over them and they hold it in place. If you go with compression fittings you need to get ones that are the same size as your tubing, so if you are using 1\2" ID - 3\4" OD tubing you need to get 1\2" ID - 3\4" OD compression fittings. If you go with barbs you want barbs that are slightly wider than the tubing you are using and it's best to use 1/2" barbs with 7/16" hose.

You also want to make sure the fittings you choose are G14" thread as that is the standard size thread for the fittings to screw into your RADs, pump tops and GPU blocks etc.
