That 22K Frontier Edition Graphics score is a tad underwhelming, Considering the RX cards will have the same amount of cores and most likely less memory but slightly higher clocks, This isn't looking good.
Managed just shy of 32K with the 1080 Ti I'm using.
Obviously but if the RX version is using the same amount of cores, Bus etc... then a boost in clocks isn't going to make a massive difference, Plus it's fun to compare.
Vega is Vega. No, it's not a gaming card. However, it is still a Vega GPU with 16gb HBM2 and a 1600mhz clock speed.
One thing people don't seem to understand.. If the drivers were not working the card would not work. If you loaded up a game it would bomb to desktop. It doesn't, so the drivers obviously support Vega.
One other thing you guys may not realise - the drivers themselves will contain all of the beta/alpha code for Vega. Well, unless they are compiling completely different drivers and have an entire dev team devoted to just Vega desktop version. I can pretty much bet you they will not. It is not easy to cross compile code from two completely different sources. The drivers obviously contain Direct X wrappers or Direct X would not function.
Look, maybe the desktop card will come with a higher clock and maybe the drivers will be more mature by then (and as time goes on) but seriously this is about as good an indicator of what you can expect. Why? mostly because unlike Nvidia's Tesla GPUs etc the clocks are not derped.
Titan Xp is not designed for gaming. Not at all, it is simply a rebadged Tesla ETC. Same can be said for the 1080Ti. Do they game though? hell yes.
I don't see people saying the same about the Titan Xp or any other Titan when they released. They are not gaming cards. First thing people do though, load up their games. Seriously /rolleyes.

According to this report from RedGaming Tech, the owner of that card did some odd things to affect the results. They locked the core speed in at 1600 and set the power limit to +30%.
People are just going to have a wait just a little while longer.
