Hey Hey! First time posting a build log on a forum and I thought that it would be a great chance to share my journey with you as I get the parts together for my new "2014 Gaming Rig". :)

I've been using my Intel 2500k based rig for too long and its time for an upgrade.

Due to limited income I will be buying the parts in stages. I'll update this log each time I make some progress. Feedback and Criticism is welcome.

14-2-2014: Upgrading this Build Log to cover new "2014 Gaming Rig" as normal, adding a second build log to clean up my main rig a little.

The only thing I would change if it were me would be the SSD's I own a Plextor and TBH it's a bit Meh, I would go with Samsung Evo's as I've heard nothing but good things about them

Looks good mate, could you keep us informed on the estimate, I'm sure a few around here would be interested. I'm looking at the new Mercury S8, it looks awesome, the ATX motherboard is mounted horizontally, I've always liked the idea behind the coolermaster haf xb, not not fond of the design, but the S8 fits the bill.

If you are going to watercool then i would get the Powercolor 290x LCS card.. comes installed with a waterblock and warranty is not voided after removing the cooler. Would be much cheaper than a 780ti and a block as well yet yield same or better performance.

Your ordering a Caselabs case with no window? Whaaaa?
Need that window!!!!!!!!! Otherwise defeats the purpose of showing off the amazing loop you planned for this build.

A window like this?...

I agree! Sure would be a shame to hide the loop. Just don't get a window for the cable management side. That way you can be as sloppy as you like as long as the main guts look neat. ;)

Upgrading this Build Log to cover new "2014 Gaming Rig" as normal, adding a second build log to clean up my main rig a little.

Purchased a Corsair 350D and a H100i from Scan on 13th Feb - Yesterday.

12pm: It arrives.
1pm: About to move my old rig into a new case.
2pm: Grr, no room for BluRay Drive or HDD hot swap. >_<
3pm: Still at it, tidy cables sure do take alot of time.
5pm: Fit the H100i with fans pulling air in from top of case.
6pm: Still working on them tidy cables.
9pm: Finshed, redo bios settings and monitor temps for a while.

I need to get something to run BluRay Drive on USB3.

This is a rebuild of main rig. Yes I know I have PSU label side up, but I like it that way personally. Pics should now be dust free. ^_^

Feedback Welcome!
