Budget Quad Core AMD CPU

I want to know what is a good budget quad core AMD cpu that is under $100? I want to pair it with a HD 7700/7850 in a gaming pc bulid.

Better off saving more to get at least a FX 8320 CPU. Bugdet CPUs will need to be upgraded relatively quick and therefore is just a waste of money for a temporary solution.

I would totally agree, but if you still want to go down that road then i'd suggest the phenom ii x4 which i have had for a while, has never let me down, and is good fun if you want to have a good go at overclocking.

But you will find yourself wanting to upgrade pretty soon as those things don't have all that much power.

So depends how patient you are mate

if you want to go for an amd quad core its still hard to beat the phenom II quad cores. either buy a phenom II or a piledriver quad!

if possible i would try to get a hex core processor just for that little bit more power, again a phenom II or piledriver would be best.
