Budget Design

Hey all, I am currently designing my friend a budget rig for around £600-700. I've just about finished designing it but would like all of your opinions of it, thanks:

Motherboard - Gigabyte Z68 GA-Z68AP-D3 = £83

CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz Sandybridge = £172

CPU Cooling - Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro = £25

CPU Thermal Paste - Arctic Cooling MX-4

Memory - Mushkin Radioactive 4GB 2x2 DDR3 1600MHz 7-9-7-24 = £28

GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti DS Superclocked or MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti Twin FrozR II OC = £199 or £201 (I've heard the EVGA is rather load over 60% load, could anyone confirm this?)

Wireless Card - TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless N = £22

DVD Drive - Samsung SH-S222AB/BEBE = £17

Hard Drive - Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB = £?

PSU - Corsair Builder Series CX430 = £37 (Not really sure about the 430W, you guys reckon it would be enough?)

Case - BitFenix Merc Alpha = £33

should really be in the new build advice section but whatever..

Looks good, I would recommend a better psu tho, maybe a ocz modxstream 500.

more is useless since you cant sli on this board

I'd go for the msi gpu.

And maybe try to get a used hdd for the next couple of months, they're unafordable atm:'(

Hey, this looks pretty cool. I'd definitely go with the MSI Twin FrozR 2 version as it runs cool and quiet even under load, but it's really up to you and your friend of course. Just to be safe, I'd suggest a PSU that's rated at least 500 - 550W minimum. With the 2500K, I'm guessing you'll be OC-ing a bit so you'll definitely need a bit more headroom on power as well. You may want to look at Coolermaster, Seasonic, be quiet! or Corsair for a selection of PSUs. If you're going to push the CPU past 4.0GHz, I'd also suggest a better cooler.

Thanks a lot guys, sorry for posting in the wrong area. I'll go for the MSI card then and go for a better power supply too, I'll see what I can find and post back soon
