Broken GTS 250

Hey guys

Recently I installed water cooling on my Graphics Card (XFX GTS 250 1GIG). One day my friend came and used my PC. He didnt turn the watercooling on. My graphics card seems fried!

The thing that bothers me about the whole situation is that Nvidia cards should have a tempreture shut off. My friend only went onto the internet to check his mail for like 2 minites but he didnt turn the PC off afterwards.

The card is out of warrenty as well.

I live in South Africa, so anyone know anyone that can fix it?

You are 100% sure it IS fried ?

i mean you can see it IS fried ?

Sounds (indeed) a bit weird as it would most likely lock first before getting past frying temps

I don't know for sure with GPUs, but I've seen my 280s throttle back when they get too hot. I've also done a similar trick with my CPU, and nothing bad happened, the pc froze, switched the pumps on and rebooted and everything was fine. If you have fried the GPU, there isn't a lot you can do except for replace it.
 
Ive stipped it and there are no black marks around anywere and there is no burned smell either.

If it isnt burned then is there someone that can fix it?

wouldent the WC turn on automaticly?

well it could fry it yes if thats the case but i dont no,if it is fried then its dead fella as it would of burned the transistors on the core and otherbits so its unfixable

time to get a new card,and also sort the WC out so it turns on with the PC lol
