BritBox TV Streaming Pricing has been revealed

I don't think there's any use to this if you're in the UK until there's exclusive content(As more or less all the content there is already available for free) so it makes sense they go for the largest ex-pat markets first.

What gets me with the "exclusive content" if it's made by the BBC chances are it will use licence money to make it and yet someone who pays for their licence still needs to pay the subscription so UK customers will pay £20 a month for that exclusive content

All exclusive content revealed so far is ITV productions, it's an ITV controlled venture (90% ITV ownership) so it's likely that will always be the case. All editorial decisions are done by ITV staff and they all report to ITV's director of television.

Nah the BBC have already made statements on this, they will use BritBox more like DVD re-releases, no one will pay for any show twice. BBC co-produce many shows with other companies though, they get a lot of funding to co-produce shows from Netflix for instance, so any majority ITV funded co-produced show does have the chance of ending up on BritBox, but all BBC shows go to iPlayer if they have the licensing ability to do so, for a year under new rules. This is basically for watching >1 year old TV shows as far as BBC content goes unless you're abroad and can't access iPlayer.

Also worth noting any shows that are made for BritBox will be done on a near non-existent budget by modern standards(About x1000 less than say a Netflix shows production cost), and any BBC profits from the service go back into funding more general content production.

The whole point of this service is to stop American re-sellers siphoning all the profits off rebroadcasting British content, which is harmful for our use of the TV license.

Incorrect sorry, all of the BBC's part of Britbox is being ran by BBC Enterprise, the commercial part of the BBC that's not in any way funded by the licence fee. Think of them as a totally separate company, they produce lots of shows that the regular BBC don't even want/pay-for - country-specific news, TV shows that the BBC just don't want to pay for. This is why people get all upset about 'Killing Eve', the BBC chose to pay for it but BBC America (essentially a subsidiary of BBC Enterprise) paid more so got it first. Enterprise also run the Radio Times too btw.
