Well I'm sure many of you have seen the images of a decent storm we had here in Brisbane a few years ago, but yesterday we managed to be on the receiving end of the worst storm in 25 years. Sunday the 16th of November was the day of the supercell, and the most ferocious storm that I've ever seen - bababa boooom.
I managed to take a few pictures as the storm approached, but unfortunately ran out of battery power in my camera as it hit. Unfortunately 1 young person lost their life as they were swept into a storm water drain as they were filming the deluge of water. A place about 10 minutes away from me called 'The Gap' bore the brunt of the storm and is now being referred to as a natural disaster area. The pics I really took don't do the cloud formations justice, and just how dark and green the sky was. However, the last shot is where day became night in a matter of minutes (please bear in mind that this is around 3.30pm in the afternoon and wouldn't normally be this dark). I'll let the pictures and youtube footage do the talking:

The weather bureau are predicting another storm to arrive on Wednesday - woohoo
Enjoy
