braided cables

I have the same extensions in my rig but in white, these are para cord feel not the nylon coatings you find on the cheap versions. ;)

No complaints here, they look the part. Not really that often you get to touch them once installed.

I personally have gone for these 1's

As everything in case is red and black where possible

I have been trying to find a USB 3.0 braided cable, but so far closest I come to it is this

http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...roduct_info&cPath=34_81_250&products_id=39533

as you can see, there is not any braiding on that one :( so without ripping it apart and braiding it myself, there not a lot I can do :(

Hmmmmm... I've always used bitfenix alchemy extensions in both my own build and builds for mates. Never realised there was an alternative xD

I came across them when was looking for alternatives for the braided cables for my RM series PSU, as the Corsair cables are damn expensive, and they only a single colour. I loved those Silverstone ones when I saw them as they 2 colours, but the red isn't too much in with the black, so will go really well with the ROG stuff inside my case.

silverstone extention cable felt nice and looks good

Hi

I am wondering why you just don't do it yourself. It seems that people think its some sort of dark art or very time intensive. Its a little work, but you can get whatever color you want and its not that hard. You really only need the ATX pin remover tool, sleeve, heatshrink, and a lighter to do the heatshrinkless method.

Having another skill in building a pc is great. Took me about 10 minutes to learn and only a couple botched cables.

PS I buy all my supplies from LutroO customs and learned how to do this by watching his video's on youtube http://lutro0-customs.com/pages/sleeving-guides

This much is true. :D I've braided quite a few cables it's quite straight forward. And can work out cheaper. A few meters of braid and shrink with the pin removal tools cost me the best part of £12 compared to the whole set of pre braided extensions for £35.

But at the end of the day it is up to the builder, go for pre made or braid their own.

I'm going without heat shrink because I don't like the look, especially colored heat shrink(ie. red looks pink). I am just melting the para cord over the crimps, and that gets hidden inside the connector.
