Boot issues

So today I got a boot problem, but an odd one?

Windows failed to start error

Status: 0xc0000225

My boot drive is a 120gb SSD Corsair Force 3 6gb sec. Now here is the kicker, when I do a force boot through my ASUS bios is can boot fine from it, in fact I am typing this message now on my computer.

Specs:
MOBO: ASUS Maximus Gene Z Gen 3
GPU: GTX 680
CPU: i5 2500k 4.6ghz
RAM: 16gb Corsair vengeance 1600mhz
Drive 1: Corsair force 3 120gb
Drive 2: 500gb Momentous XT
Drive 3: 1tb Hitatchi deskstar
PSU: Corsair AX850

It could be a million different things. Run Windows repair and it likely will fix itself. You could also try restoring to a point when it booted fine as generally that's what Windows repair ends up doing anyway.

I already ran a Windows repair and nothing was found.

This seems to be more of a BIOS issue it seems? Generally if it was a boot error I would not be able to boot even if I forced it?

If I were you, i would clear CMOS and try booting again. If it boots properly, just tweak the stuff again, and see if it still works. It will take way less time than checking 1 by 1 on each thing until you find the one thats causing the error

My rIVe would sometimes blue screen and refuse to boot until I completely depose red the system then and do a boot from bios and it would be fine after that booting normally from off. I discovered in the bios that it was losing the ssd I boot from every once in a while and the boot priority would change itself as my force 3 wasnt thee as an option. I update the mobo bios and haven't had a problem since maybe its an asus thing

I will be doing that for sure. But this is something I would like to know for future reference on why it is happening.
