I thought I'd register here after reading up quite a lot on x58 overclocking in some old threads.
I just built my 1st system based on a 980x Engineering sample in a x58 sabretooth board cooled with a CM Nepton 280l, 12gb kit of ddr3 1600 corsair modules and a Asus 680 dc2 top. Storage is a sammy 840 120gb ssd and a wd green 1tb.
The system is currently at 4ghz and flies through everything I throw at it.
All the parts were bought for of ebay...
Im currently on the win 10 tech preview which I find very stable.
I look forward to chatting with you guys soon as I would like to flash my 680top to a 770 bios so I can play around with gpu boost 2.
