Bluescreened after a long time of running stable?!

Well i've been running my Q6600 at 3.2GHz seemingly stable for ages, PRIME95 ran for 6 hours without error.

But I was saving a few pics in Photoshop and I bluescreened?!

I've upped my vcore to 1.5 from about 1.48, hoping it will sort it out... I've also put my ram back to auto... So now its at 500Mhz (1000MHz) instead of 800Mhz (1600Mhz) :(

I'm really struggling overclocking this system... Does anyone fancy helping me out over msn? lol...

All help is much appreciated

Unfortunately no, but it happened right after i was fiddling with my ram (Though I changed the ram settings back to default before i bluescreened)

Upped my voltage to 1.4875 and prime95 ran stable for 5 hours last night (Turned it off this morning).

That voltage seems high for a stable 3.2 overclock though?

Dude, 1,48v is pretty high for aircooling imo. I ran mine at 3,375 (375x9) at 1,42v and it was rock solid (heart touching). :P

Temps are fine, but I know its high, thats one of the points of this thread lol.

Edit: Sorry, its not one of the points of this thread, thats my OTHER thread lol! I decided to stick to one thread to discuss all my overclocking issues, please continue in that one instead (Saves me cluttering the forums and becoming a nusance lol)

Query the memory voltage and arrangement.

Not quite sure what you mean, sorry im a noob to overclocking lol. Could you explain?

Would be interesting to know how many sticks of ram u have, and the quantities.

Then the voltage they say they run at and the voltage u have them at.

A SPD screenie from Cpu-z can be handy :)

2x 2GB OCZ PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 8-8-8-26. DRAM voltage is on Auto, though I believe it runs at about 1.9? (Not at my PC atm, im at work. I will let you know for definite in about 20 mins when I get home)

Not too sure about your DDR3 board but with my old Gigabyte P965 DS3P mobo I had to up the NB voltages a notch as a similar thing happened to me, was stable at 3.2 for 6+ months then I started to get random reboots, upping the NB fixed the problem for me.
