Blizzard has upgraded Overwatch with high bandwidth servers

Huh, didn't this happen quite a while ago?

Or was it gradual and now they've finally finished the roll-out?

What is tickrate ? I'm not much of a death match style player so aint got a scooby ^_^

I remember playing a match on BF4 some time ago and the server had a limit of 60Hz and was FPS locked to the same, Is that what this is ?

It's how fast the server runs. High tick rate means that it runs more frames per second it layman's terms. A higher tick rate gives you lower latency and better response as it's processing all players' inputs and sending the result back every 15.9ms (63Hz) as opposed to 47.6ms (21Hz). Counterstrike servers are known for high tick rates for optimum accuracy with high frame rate clients.

This is a decent explanation.

I am not aware of how BF4 works, but framerate locking sounds archaic.
