Did a lot about Firewalls today with college.. and it would seem having a firewall on the router (which most have at least packet filtering) is pretty much all you need. Obviously, you can have AVs if you want to be wasting your monies on the "scare stories".![]()

A good firewall + antivirus will keep almost anything out (at least in my case) and just slipstream the latest service pack whenever you reinstall instead.
