Well is this a good deal to upgrade my 980Ti?

It's Nvidia reference clocks, but £100 lower than Nvidia's Founders Edition. Should overclock to above Founders speeds though, but expect a lower binned chip.
hmmm decisions decisions :/
Thing is at this rate we are prob looking another 2 + years for a next gen RTX card. Reckon this one will use the reference PCB?
I think it does. EVGA's custom PCBs are usually taller than normal PCIe brackets. I don't see why they wouldn't use reference for those clocks.
they seem to have the higher clock ones on offer too!

Guess I could sell battlefield V and my 980Ti to offset the cost but I'd have to see what I can get for my 980Ti
I've just picked up a used 1080Ti for £425 reference and I'm able to get 1998mhz before i hit thermal throttle.
Used market is pretty reasonable atm.
Hey sorry if I seem i'm hijacking this thread, It just happens to be v relevant to what I'm looking for right now.
Just seen this deal

The game may be locked to your GPU, or the RTX series meaning you may not be able to sell it. The 980ti? yesterday I saw a EVGA Hydro Copper sell for £145 on OCUK Members Market. You would be lucky to get £180 but then you could always try and screw some one over on Facebook or something like that. It's never worth £290 though. I guess you could try your luck on Ebay?
I know there was reports of this last year, but did Nvidia actually ever go ahead with the Hardware lock on games?
As for the pricing on the card, looking around it seems that may have been a v v good deal coz everywhere else I see them at 200+
Yes they did and so did AMD. I bought a game, tried to activate it and it said it could not find the Ryzen CPU.
£200 is about the limit for a 980Ti. An air cooled one. I mean yeah the HC was a lot more to buy but the water block hindered it. Like I said £180 seems to be about the going rate. 970 £90-£100, 980 £120-£130 and 980ti £160-£180. 1070 kick in around £220 or so.
That (OCUK MM) is about the cheapest place, but £290 is a pipe dream dude. Like I say, you would have to try Facebook or Ebay for that sort of money. Remember, just a few days ago you could get a Vega 56 for £299 with over £100 worth of games.
