BitFenix Outlaw Review

Excellent review as always TTL. I think the awards you gave were fair. You pointed out the flaws, even if they were quite small, but as you said it was those little things that made it stray away from being Gold Worthy. It is still a brill case, despite those little flaws

I knew from seeing pictures a few weeks ago that cable routing would be hard, i wasn't really expecting there to be very little in the way of it. I think the awards were fair.

Find me one case on the market for 40 £ with nine fan bays and reversed side panel, the only reason why Tom didn't give it a gold award was because of the poor cable capabilities and I bet you he had a lot of debate with himself about it.

Nice review Tom,

You know, I often find myself almost talking at the screen during your videos asking "what about this" or "couldn't you do that" and invariably, within a few seconds, you pick up on the exact thing I was thinking of - spooky really lol. *

I think both the review and score are fair, however I think you'd only discover how restrictive it is cabling-wise when you eventually pop a build in there. If you've a build where there's a lot going on, say a pair of GPUs and associated cabling you might have problems. However a more modest build, so a single GPU especially if using a modular PSU, could work quite nicely.

In my view, very generally speaking, if you're looking at a case nearer the budget-end of the market for a new build possibly you're not putting a high-end rig in there. Still, with SLI/CrossFire being a cheap and exceedingly effective upgrade these things need to be considered to future-proof your build, as much as that's possible

Best of luck with the move Tom, hope it goes smoothly.

Cheers,

Scoob.

* The fact you think like me should concern you!

Definitely silver it has even for the price quite few design compromises due its apparent adapted nature. Also all those's fan holes and cheap metal must make it slightly structurally weak.

So when are you actually going to put a system in there?

I wan't to see what air-cooler you can get in!

[as well as the cables].
