Bitcoins

Im looking at getting into the bitcoin business, does anybody here know anything about mining software and how to trade?

all i know is that it is probably going to be ruined in a while because there is some new hardware around that is like a thousand times faster than a 7970 but only 3 times the price. inflation incoming. well it already happened, but now it's gonna be bad.
ASIC was the name i think.

Wow, just looked that up, 50Gh/s for $2,499, if the value of a bitcoin stays the same as it is now you would be making around $800 a day.

Except you're not going to get the work. The big miners get it. Read up on bitcoin. If you weren't in early there is no profit in it.

agreed.

I looked at it a while ago. the costs of running a mining rig of a decent size and the amount of coins you earn don't weigh up. The best thing I found out was to join a mining team and share the profits. then you might have some chance of seeing some money.

I mean, even the guy who invented bitcoin did it in an abandoned office building and he sold all his coins early and now has naff all to show for it. if he cant make money off of it I don't think I could.

large communities can benefit from Bc mining. just that its for the community not
a sole individual. like folding, but with a monetary benefit as a collective.

I have just ditched my plans for bitcoins and invested in litecoins, they are really cheap compared to bitcoins and are likely to grow in a couple of weeks!

Just cause you're a techie doesn't mean you have to invest in techie currencies.

All of these online 'virtual' currencies will fail at some point.

Buy something of substance such a Silver. That way you won't have to constantly watch the stock prices to see if you need to instantly sell it.

I'm not too sure if I trust these virtual currencies yet.

It's a god damn casino nothing more.

Yes a stable currency for the last??? Probably before history began becoming recorded by humans.

And hijackers handing out bitcoins on reddit to disrupt the value.

Has history not thought anyone anything?

Hijackers have killed our paper money with the EXACT same tactics. This digital currency will lead us if anything to more tyranny and more financial treason. It's pretty damn obvious the currency can be manipulated at a massive rate in whichever way certain individuals please.

Let's not be tech trendy's about this guys this is a seriously dangerous territory we are heading in.

They're about $130 as of today. The didn't lose all their forward momentum after going vertical to over $250 a while back it seems.

I wouldn't invest in them, but they have their usages like avoiding capital controls, and the anonymity they offer is awesome. If they were to fall a bit, I'd probably buy a few as a middle finger gesture to the powers that be.
