T Toxcity New member Feb 8, 2007 #1 Hello guys! Okay heres the lowdown. When ever I turn off the power to my PC my bios loses its memory and resets to factory defualts. Is this because I need to replace the Motherboard battery? I have only had the board for like 4 months. Thanks!

N nathan New member Feb 8, 2007 #4 yeah more than likely is the biso battery, i've had to do it a couple of times over the years. You can get one for a couple of quid.

T Toxcity New member Feb 8, 2007 #6 I will be leaving my PC on! But it doesn't matter if it shutdown its just if all power is lost, for example taking the plug out. Or switching the switch off at the PSU. As long as the Mobo has power it lives!

J JN New member Feb 9, 2007 #7 Hopefully It's just your battery mate. I had an Asrock mobo (not my own) that kept loosing BIOS settings randomly. Most annoying!
