Big SSDs! Samsung teases their 4TB 990 PRO SSD

Couple of quarters later than expected but better late than never. Samsung make good quality NVMe drives, I'll be in the market for these for sure.

I'm glad I've picked up the cheaper 3.0 drives even thou they work backwards, as the newer stuff sure it's faster but until direct storage is actually a thing and nvme drives are used far better than they are atm i just don't see the need myself yet.

Maybe more as a system or editing drive but tbh i don't think it really makes that much difference when loading a game really.

Like the 1tb drives i started with were fairly expensive way back but the 2tb I got the other day was £55 to me that is good enough than some hyper new 5.0 drive.

I think by the time i've upgraded these kind of drives will be far far cheaper, the corsair's I have do very well not far behind, but yep the samsungs are and most likely always be that bit ahead I have one in the system.

BEST SSD brand there is out there....with WD coming in at a close second. I ONLY use Sammy drives for solid state. Never an issue yet.

However why they are not releasing a Gen 5 unit soon is a good question.
