It looks like a side-by-side shotgun, probably home packed cartridges too. My mate, before strict gun control came into Australia used to have a 50 calibre Barrett: http://www.biggerhammer.net/barrett/ that he bought from some army surplus place.

WOW! He had a Barret? Thought those things are more for taking out material objects, light vehicles, etc

Yeah he had some special collectors license, but a Barrett was part of his collection. He also had an SKS ( dunno what revision) complete with bayonette, a 9mm GlocK (sp?), 222, 30-06, various trap shooting guns, 45 magnum etc. He was a regular arsenal
