BF4 + R9 290X strange error

Hey guys,

I recently got my R9 290X cards, but now when I try to start Battlefield or use Windows normally, it just says "Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for playing this game.

"AMD R9 200 Series" GPU does not support DirectX 10.0 which is required.

Anyone got any idea?

(I also can't use the Windows Aero effects anymore)

Edit: I already tried reinstalling DirectX, but the installers keep telling me I already have a newer version installed...

Edit2: It seems to be a general DirectX problem, because Unigine Valley spewed the same error

Edit3: >_< sorry it works now, I had to reinstall the AMD Drivers...

It is quite difficult to say as battlefield 4 in quite a new game & so is your GPU. I have it and I do get some direct x errors, it still needs patching.

4 options in my opinion:

1) Reinstall direct x 10 & use atiman uninstaller to uninstall the GPU drivers.

and/OR

2) ensure you have the latest windows updates

3) Wait until the game gets patched up

4) Contact ati about your issue.

Some of these options sound generic but may fix your issue.

Battlefield 4; fantastic game.

Download the AMD Beta Drivers... this should fix some of the problems you are having...
