BF4 Beta issue

Yeah, I've been having performance issues as well. my 6870 is getting 30 fps on lowest settings, and it doesn't seem like that right. my 6870 gets 60+ constantly on medium on bf3, and I don't think the game is that much more intensive

Got FRAPS on now so I'll play a match and see what I get.

Edit: Okay so it seems I'm averaging around the 60fps mark, 50-60 is about average but I did see it jump up to 90 at points.

I had this for a while on the beta drivers. I rolled back to the non-beta drivers and it worked. Might help solve the problem for you.

Will try.

Make sure you run the Origin.exe as administrator directly from the source folder in Program Files x86.
Also, you could try deleting the cache files in the Local & Roaming folders (You'll have to unhide hidden files first).

tried both of these already, it's usually one of the steps I take when something isn't working, but still... nothing :(

Had to manually update my video card drivers but it does work (albeit only playable on low) on a 5770

I too have had multiple issues load screen errors and game crashing all the time so I updated punkbuster and stopped the constant crashing but now I can't play a game without rubber banding all over the place
Not Happy Jan!!:(

That's weird cause I tried updating PB too and it did nothing :/

NEWS!

I updated my Windows to SP1 and now I can get in game, but the framerate is at around 1/2 fps... #PROGRESS

Okay after a restart I've now been able to get in game and play. Gave up after 2 minz of playing because It's an utter stuttery mess. Will try to go back to beta drivers since I rolled mine back when trying to get it to work, but I'm halfway to saying **** this beta.

/EDIT : Nope, updated to latest beta drivers and the stutter is till bloody horrid.

Well, if its 6xxx GPU related, perhaps, i really hope you figure out a fix, if there even is one besides just waiting 'til they finish the game, because I'm in desperate need of help too! I doubt that's the case, however. I believe it's just got a shit ton of bugs and just doesnt work well for some people. oh well.

I have tried playing this pretty much all day today and a few hours yesterday and have been able to play 1 game out of over 30 attempts.

I have done 2 fresh installs of windows including trying windows 8 and windows 7, 2 fresh installs of the game, loads of different versions of drivers, I tried to update punkbuster but it won't update.

I have tried everything Dice have said and nothing works, the 1 game I did manage to get in to ended with everyone leaving because it was lagging so much that, it was impossible to move more than 2 paces forward.

I then went on to BF3 straight after leaving that had was able to play for over a hour with no lag.

This is not a beta it is a alpha.

TBH this is much much worse than the beta of BF3 even the alpha of BF3 ran better than this, I think they have a lot of work to do before the 29th

have to say i've had no issues at all here. Some loading screen bugs and stuff but that's all and been fine since it went open beta with the update.

They have openly said the build in use to test server load is around 1 month old and is not representative of the final GM that's being printed.

This really is a beta in the sense of making the servers load, not to test it at our end. It's far too close to release (and in fact is probably already being printed) for them to make any drastic changes.

Just for reference, I had two issues that I managed to solve.

1. On a 6950 I was experiencing < 10 FPS.
This was solved by upgrading to drivers 13.9.

2. Game would disconnect before entering loading screen resulting in a hang on a black screen.
This was solved by disabling UPnP in my router settings.

Low Fps is due of windows 7. Dx11.1 makes everything much better on win 8.
I experienced stuck on loading screen once, got it fixed by setting gadgets back, which got some how got reseted so that i had no gadget equipped.
I am playing on win 7. other than small fps problems, I've been good.

I have to have my GTX780 on stock clocks or i get a DX crash .. same thing happed with BF3 though.
