I really hope they do a good job on this release, as a BF series veteran having played all the games in the series. EA seem to have this idea that releasing unfinished projects is fine because the little people don't matter. Patch after patch after patch fixes problems that should never have existed, and introduces brand new ones! Especially 2142, which is a ba*****isation of the BF2 engine to allow unoptimised interior geometry, which simply kills low to mid range systems. I am part of the Combat Testing group also, although I have lost interest after testing the Northern Strike "expansion" where nearly all of the bugs we found were ignored and made it to the final release, then for EA to conduct a mass public beta a few weeks afterward simply rubbed salt into the wound. Sorry for the rant, but I really hope the development of BF3 addresses all the issues that have made Battlefield the most fist-clenchingly teeth-grindingly annoying but brilliant game series released.
