exactly lol, unless you want something like 180* on a 6 monitor surround then the ingame is more than sufficient lol

Yeh the max FOV is 90 in BF3, which is not enough for some people

120 FOV master-race! Honestly cant play with out it, it just feels like consoololol otherwise.

It all depends on the size of your monitor and how far it is from you when you play. For some people, more is necessary; however, I have no idea how you play with 120... that's just ridiculous. Are you trying to be a fish?

I plqy TF2, BF3 and Skyrim at 120, its not ridiculous, its part of playing PC games. Not being able to change fov is what is ridulous, 110 to 120 is the sweet spot for first person games and offers the best peripheral vision, like what you would see in real life. 60 is idotic and 90 is only just getting there IMO. I love being able to sprint and run and not habe the majority of my focal and peripheral vision taken aeay, read die less. I play how I like and you may think me having FOV at 120 is ridiculous I think you playing at less than 90 is 'ridiculous.'

Actually that is quite incorrect. 110 is nowhere near what you would see in real life. Using Nvidia surround to see 120 across all screens would be accurate based on peripheral vision... but your peripheral vision is not directly in front of you. I see what you are trying to say about fitting all of what you would see in right life onto the one screen you're using, but it's so unrealistic when it creates that fisheye look. And yes, it lets you see more and can be a benefit, but it's just ruins the immersion in my opinion due to the distored image you get from anything greater than 90.

I agree with this

90-95 is the max i would use.

I couldnt care less mate. i play over 100 because i play better at over 100. I play how I like, as do you. Imo there is no game that is truly immersive as no game is realistic enough.

I'm not bashing you or telling you how to play. Sorry if I came off like that. But if you were looking for realism and immersion, you're heading in the wrong direction by increasing fov.

All good dude. As I say, play how you feel comfortable and how you play best. everyone is different!
