This feature is not unique to new GPUs from Nvidia. That's the title of the article and is accurate. It literally changes the game (visuals) for RTX owners. They will be able to override past iterations of DLSS to use the newer one if they choose to.

But it is a new "feature"; or it would hardly be newsworthy, eh? I see these things, green or red, and prepare to be massively underwhelmed. Hardly anything lives up to the press-release or Jensen and Lisa's yammerings. Sorry; I don't do smoke and mirrors, nor am I interested in fake frames.
