Best wireless router

Any takers for this ?

I know I asked a similar question back in november sometime. Settled for a wrt350n from linksys, and am now in negotiations with Amazon to have it back - citing a safety issue to make it cash and not just a replacement.

So.. love it to be cable modem connected, draft-n and have gigabit switches instead of 10/100.

Those look awesome models tbh, I can't understand why people like this put 1x gigabit port on the back and 3x 10/100. What I'd need to do here is keep the netgear 5x port gigabit switch - whereas I'm really trying to negate it.

The features and management stuff looks pretty darn impressive. They may be considered cheap, but on the face of it, the melting box that is the 350n is 50-70 pound cheaper than the closest models.

Gah I dunno.

Anything US Robotics has always flicked my switch mate. Do your research on the internals of whatever you get as so many manuf.s use others hardware with facelifted firmware and a new box. The BT home hubs use most of the hardware that was in routers Virgin stopped supplying years ago as they were obsolete lol

Have a look at Billion mate. Been really happy with this fella for the past month. Its got a 4-Port Gigabit hub, Wireless N, support for a HSDPA dongle as backup.

Pretty much one of the only ADSL routers available that has Gigabit Lan

Went through the broadband site and asked them about stuff and they recommended the Billion one too.

Those guyz are willing to plug one in and let me browse through it's menus. Quite a rare offer.

Haven't mentioned anything about being from a cablemodem and not adsl.
