best pump?

I need a pump for a Sr2 build I am doing. What is the best.

I like Pump/Resevoir Combos but it don't matter too much.

Laing ddc pumps are pretty good, as well as the Swiftech range. I've also heard the ones from the xspc rasa kits are pretty quiet as well.

The rasa kit pumps wont be enough for you dude.

The best pump is the ddc ultra 18w (swiftech pumps are the same just rebranded)

You can easily get reservoirs that these bolt into.

Just keep in mind that because they work so well they are not exactly quiet.

They need damping to be quiet. It is possible though

XSPC makes a bay res for a DDC pump ( one allows for 2 ). It may be worth looking into. I've heard XSPC products are difficult to get to e-tailers. (NCIX is always out of XSPC products, mostly the RX360 rad)

i has the bay res single pump version it looks pretty good and is a quality product

Hi,

With a bay/res combo are you not risking additional noise when fitted with a powerful pump?

If you have separate pump/res you can fairly easily mount the pump on some sort of vibration/noise suppressing material. If you have a combo isn't the pump hard-connected directly to the res which is in turn hard-connected to the case? Or do the combos have vibration suppressing mounts to compensate?

For me a pump/res combo (dual optical bay) is a neat solution, but if it risks additional noise...well. I'd rethink.
